Girish Jayantilal Shah is a person, well known for his ground work and practical knowledge. As a multifaceted and most dynamic man, each and every moment who thinks, talks , discuss and act for the service of man, animal and environment to make the symbiotic relationship with each other.

He only believes in field work to make the mission practical and most applied for human and humane service, environmental protection and kindness -compassion to animals. He has an intense sensitivity to the unique culture and psyche of the people. With his inimitable leadership skills and grass root approach, has led from front the process of implementation of participatory movement.

His source of inspiration have been Jainism and teachings of Jain saints were helpful to make a perfect social worker and activist in the convergence with his spiritual gurus’ to glow his life journey , explore studies-knowledge, broadening experience and developing the sense of feel and understanding into a world-view and a global vision of humanity.

Since last more than two decades, he has dedicated for kindness – compassion to animals, plantation for maintaining of greenery , pilot project for water conservation, rescue operation and welfare drive during natural calamities like flood-cyclones-droughts etc., movement for prevention of Animal Sacrifice in India and abroad, campaign for food and water distribution during sufferings of corona pandemic, efforts for making Gaushala-Pinjarapols self-sufficient by organizing training and awareness campaign, supporting of educational and social programs throughout country in different form has been most popular and attraction of the Indian media. He has many laurels to his credit.

He is Managing Trustee of National Award winner NGO, Samast Mahajan and Member of the Animal Welfare Board of India, Government of India. For his outstanding contribution as a multifaceted personality in the country, he has been conferred various National and International Award from Government and Non-Governmental Organizations from time to time. His motivational and educational talks, speeches and write-ups have been more popular and viral in the media. He is a recognized expert and specialist of Delhi and Mumbai Doordarshan. Last year, Delhi Doordarshan has aired his program on animal welfare, rural development in holistic manner and efforts done on environmental protection in 3 episodes continuously on the Krishi Darshan Programme. His idea for “Kishan Card” for best use of Cow dung-manure and exchange from fodder have been well popular.

Most interesting matter is, , by profession , he is a renowned diamond exporter of polished diamond, but his soul remains always for humanitarian and philanthropic work. He is a day-night worker and work tirelessly, is as routine work of the day. He is also a very good orator, prolific writer, known environmentalist and rural development expert on cow based agriculture. Currently, engaged in the aggressive campaign to support of the needy families suffering from food and water in Mumbai and suburb area, extensive campaign for removal of Vilayti Babul (Prosophis juliflora) for developing the Gochar Land/ Fodder Production and Water Conservation to develop and regenerate the ponds, lakes and rivers in as Prime Project in Rajasthan and Maharashtra, prevention of Animal Sacrifice in Nepal as International project, as new initiative to establish Aadarsh Goshala in Ayodhya under patronage of CM, Government of Uttar Pradesh, feeding support to equine animals(horse and donkeys)in Maharashtra and coordination -cooperation and support with Central and State governments on animal welfare issues have been prime focus during the coronavirus pandemic. Government of Gujarat, particularly, Chief Minister and Governor of Gujarat have been very much impressed to see the e work and activities carried out under umbrella of Samast Mahajan, an International organization dedicated in the service of man, animal and environment.

MEMBER ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD OF INDIA:

He was appointed as a Member of the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India w.e.f.1st March , 2017 to 28th February, 2020 and extended till new Board is formed for outstanding contribution in the area of welfare for man and animal and environment by conservation, preservation and protection. The Government of India also made me responsible for policy formulation on animal welfare and prevention of cruelty to animals to include in its Executive Committee.

DIAMOND BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL:

Primarily involved in Diamond business since 1985 to till date and the business (D G Exports and Rishabh Gems) network are spread in India and abroad. Covering many countries in the world like Japan, USA, Hongkong, Bangkok, Dubai, and Antwerp, Poland etc. Under banner of the D G EXPORT since 1991. The DG EXPORT is trading polished diamond for export purpose to various countries.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP:

Professional membership is given from various organizations of the national and international repute like the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (No GJEPC/HO-MUM/G03230/AM/0) and the Pransukhlal Mafatlal Hindu Swimming Bath & Boat Club Trust (LM/13209).

VISION –EFFORTS- ACHIVEMENTS:

  • Jeev Daya –Animal Welfare – Environmental Protection: Samast Mahajan is a registered public charitable trust since 2002 with vision to make this world better place for all living creatures- man, animals, plants and all living beings to enjoy them but following of non-violence (Jeevdaya) concept of survival and protection of nature. This organization is also dedicated for socio-economic development, conservation of natural resources and environment, protection and conservation of cultural and social heritage through education, awareness and financial support.
  • Education-Health Care-Rescue Work: Samast Mahajan turned into an International NGO working in India and abroad since 2002.Samast Mahajan support for education and Healthcare facilities to the poor people, victims of the natural calamities in terms of financial assistance to the families. Some special occasion, organization supply all essential materials and support them during natural humanitarian duties during natural calamities such as earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, fire or any outbreak of the disease and so on. Recognizing talent and personalities whose life is driven by the maxim, “Live and let live.”
  • Goshala & Panjarapoles Samast Mahajan has today evolved into an NGO having presence in multi-cities, towns and villages across India. Today, it also donates funds running into crores of gaushalas and panjarapoles of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and other states.
  • Sustainable Farming & Water Harvest Besides upliftment of gaushalas, Samast Mahajan, orgnisation is also involved in various other social fields like environment protection , turning barren lands into green patches, turning villages self-reliant to meet their water needs by digging up wells and ponds while also recharging existing water resources.
  • Social Upliftment: Supporting the needy students to achieve their educational aspirations, helping needy families by providing them life essential materials, discharging duties towards the society during various natural calamities like floods, earthquakes, fire and so on.
  • Emergency Work – Kearla Flood: Kerala’s biggest natural disaster in history in the year 2018. The torrential rains, overflowing rivers and series of landslides devastated the state of Kerala. Samast Mahajan reached the flood affected areas with life essentials to complete the relief work & rehabilitation for the people of Kerala. Distribution of grocery kit to 1000 families. 2 meals a day to 1300 people every day was provided.
  • Prevention of Animal Sacrifice Nepal is holding animal sacrifices every 5 years in Ghadimai Mandir and as per an estimate , about 1 lakh animals are sacrificed every event . But, after Samast Mahajan team reached and educated people to not sacrifice animals, the number of cases dropped down to 70 % in 2019 and usage of coconut was promoted in place of sacrifices.
  • Financial Assistance: Providing financial assistance to several education institutes to build infrastructure & facilities like library, Laboratory, school rooms etc. Encouraging ancient Gurukul based education system & supporting such institutes. Samast Mahajan supported Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya in 2008 Badod M.P and one more in Taal (M.P) School.

Certainly being a businessman in his early days and efficiently administrating his work along with his deep connection with Social and Cultural activities, resources management, providing solutions to critical problems was all handful phenomenon.

    A Registered Public Charitable Trust with vision to make this world a more better place for living for all by means of Non Violence(Jeevdaya), Rural, Economic and Social Development, Conservation of Natural Resources and Environment , Cultural and Heritage Preservation, Health, Education, Religion.

  • Samast Mahajan

    A It has successfully accomplished the development of a number of Panjarapole’s (Animal Welfare Centre’s) and Villages with approx. Area of 12000 acres at an expense of Rs. 18 crores. This has resulted into self-reliance, saving of considerable funds, reduction in cattle death rate with better health and not to forget enormous contribution to environment and water harvesting by means of tree plantation, pond deepening and developing, development of water resources, tree plantation, Auyervedic clinics, Environment technology, water body restoration, soil conservation and nursery development. All this projects are well received and supported by all concern groups.

  • Palitana(Gujarat)

    Having 565 acres land, honored “Samast Mahajan” with the responsibility to develop Lakes, Grassland ect. for self reliance. They have developed 25000 contour,220 Nalaplugs, One Lake. They also have harvested traditional grass seeds mixed with cow dung. The monsoon has supported our act and the water retention in this hilly panjarapole has improved and its getting green cover of grass. Total expenditure Rs. 54 Lakh(V.S.2059/2003)

  • Rain Water harvesting

    In total 4 huge ponds been developed in Palitana and Giriraj Hill of Gujarat successfully ranging in size from 5 acre to 35 acre each. Supported with well-received monsoon all the ponds are overflowing. These ponds has considerable positive impact on local ground water level ,near by farmers, Environment by means of green cover.

  • Animal Ambulance

    We started our first Animal Hospital on wheels in February-2022.In just 10 months we could give life to 3800+ Animals & Birds, which might have died in pain.Ambulance equipped with all facilities like Operation Theatre, Anesthesia, Oxygen Cylinder and Oxygen Concentrator, Freeze for keeping injection,Gyser, Fire safety.Animals found wounded or accidental will be operated on table inside Ambulance, BVSC doctor and LIS will take care and operate.

  • Call of Calamity

    Not restricting the core ability to only developing new projects but also the natural calamities of mass destruction like Kutch (Gujarat) , Latur (Maharashtra) earthquakes, Floods in Bihar, Mumbai & Surat, he reached out to help in all possible way to the ill-fated people there with massive mobilization of resources ,volunteers and supplies with continuous monitoring for stretched out days in all possible. Aacharya Chanakya Award- 2020 During the year 2020, the Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat singh Koshaiyari has conferred “Aacharya Chanakya Award- 2020” for outstanding contribution in the field of rural development, water conservation, animal welfare and environmental protection.

Established in 1992 as an NGO with the blessings of Jain monk Gurudev Panyas Chandrashekhar Vijayji Maharaj Saheb, Samast Mahajan is one of the most respected charitable organizations of India.

It runs on the principles of never creating any asset and spending every paisa of donations on charitable causes.

Firmly following teachings of Jainism, Lord Mahavir and other Jain Teerthankars, it also spreads messages of non-violence, jeevdaya or compassion towards every living being and anekantvad or non-absolutism in society.

Since its inception, and beginning with activities related to jeevdaya, Samast Mahajan in the last quarter decade, has spread scope of its charitable causes to every conceivable righteous act.

Following are some of the areas where Samast Mahajan has made an impact with its contributions:

  • Environment conservation and protection and turning barren lands into fertile ones. It has converted a whopping 18,000 acres of land from baren to fertile one! This feat has also been lauded by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) which assured Samast Mahajan to provide useful information related to any barren land it may plan to convert into a fertile one in future.
  • Conserving the Indian heritage and culture by spreading awareness as well as organizing events. Several Jain and Hindu temples have been covered under the organization’s activities related to this cause.
  • Organizing Swachhata Abhiyaans or cleanliness drives at various places and so on. The mission took up by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to make India a clean nation is supported through this initiative.
