Humans are Selfish in today's life.

Food, shelter & clothing are the three basic necessities of life for humans to live peacefully and happily. But today we have increased our wants to such an extent that to fulfill them we are not only disturbing the nature but also destroying its creation i.e. life.

Let us see the amount of pain and suffering that we cause to innumerable living beings in order to satisfy our 'created materialistic wants.'

We start our day by brushing our teath. But do we realise that the toothpaste that we use may contains bone ash & the most "in-thing", the gel toothpaste and mouthwash may contains glycerine (byproduct of animal fat). Even if we realise that, do we really bother to do anything about it?

Not going into details, let us just glance at some of the products we use in our daily routine like soaps and cosmetics which may contain animal ingredients in one form or the other.

Before going for a bath we would know that any branded or non branded soap may contain animal fat - tallow.

PRODUCTS INGREDIENTS
Shaving Cream Stearic acid & lecithin
Shampoo Egg, animal protein, fatty acids, ceramides
Conditioner Silk Oil
Deodorant Quaternium (Derivative of animal tallow)
Besides containing animal ingredients these products are also tested upon helpless animals like guinea pigs, rabbits and monkeys to detect their side-effects on human skin and eyes.

Leather turns animals Inside Out
What our stone-age ancestors wore: ANIMAL HIDE!
What we wear: GENUINE LEATHER
Is there any difference?

Our stone-age ancestors had no other alternative
For them, wearing animal skins was a matter of survival

What’s our excuse?
Do we have to kill to clothe ourselves today?
GIVE IT UP LEATHER

Leather Industry has boomed so much in recent years that it has created an entire bandwagon of demands in itself. Moving from attire to accessories, leather has gained wide range of utilization as in clothes, foot wear, belts, headgear, jackets, watches, purses, bags, wallets, brief cases etc.

Whether one uses a single square inch or a square foot of an animal skin, the animal has to be killed for it. Thus there is violence and exploitation involved in obtaining any form of leather, Statistics reveal that an average person utilizes the skin of 1.5 - 2 buffalos only for the sake of footwear. This would silence the people who argue that the animal is not killed for the sake of skin but rather it is a byproduct of meat industry.

People fond of wearing ‘soft leather’ or ‘calf leather’ shoes should at least be aware of what the term implies. The younger the animal the smoother and softer the skin. Thus young newborn calves are slaughtered to meet the unnecessary demands of people.
